God Hates Figs Protestors Signs
Caption Competition Winner: bob's opinions
Jesus' attitude towards the out of season fig tree was very peculiar, to say the least. Of course, you might argue that it was meant as a metaphorical lesson, something to do with the fruitfulness of Israel, but today I'm not in the mood for contortionist interpretations of Scripture.
It is interesting that Scripture is plain when it agrees with the reader's view, or, if not, needs interpretation in the context of something larger that will help the verses to be understood as desired.
If that makes no sense, apply some context, and all will be well.
